RCOT E-Bulletin

The Scottish Western region produces a regular E-Bulletin which is circulated in-between e-Newsletters by email to all members within the region.

All members in the region should receive E-Bulletins. If you have not, please log onto your RCOT account, check your email preferences and that your correspondence email address is correct.

Contacting UNISON

RCOT members can access UNISON services via local staff stewards. If you do not have a UNISON staff steward then contact your UNISON Branch Secretary by telephoning 0800 0857 857.

Lifelong Learning Grants

Looking for an alternative funding option for CPD?

Consider applying for a Lifelong Learning Grant (LLG). The LLG provides financial support for RCOT members to participate in learning opportunities, such as short courses, workshops or conferences. Pre-registration Bsc and Msc courses are not eligible for LLG funding.

You can use the funding to contribute to the fees for the learning opportunities, but it cannot cover the cost of travel and subsistence. You can claim up to 50% of the total learning opportunity cost, with a maximum of £200 per application, and if successful you will be required to submit a report/article (minimum 300 words), giving feedback on the learning opportunity and how it benefited your practice.

To apply for a LLG, please download and complete the application form and return it to communities@rcot.co.uk. Applications are accepted all year round.
