Middle aged male with progressive end of life brain tumour .Difficulty with sitting balance ,standard riser recliner did not patients needs.
The Change
Difficulty in accessing specialist seating reps due to pandemic lock down and time to make bespoke chair. Access to specialist chairs purchase from charitable funds to help support Macmillan Therapist.
The Impact
Patient could sit out safely and engage family allowing further meaningful quality of life.Patient passed away a few weeks later and family had found the chair so useful during this time wanted to fund a further one for other families.
