The Challenge
Providing a two week placement opportunity to two OT students who were shielding and unable to physically come out to the practice area.
The Change
We adapted and created a virtual placement opportunity. We had a variety of interactive study tasks and video conferencing opportunities. Including patient and MDT contact. We placed the team around the student, but online!
The Impact
The students met all their learning objectives and successfully completed their placement. My team became more open and creative to different ways of supporting learning opportunities and have been more flexible to future student placements.
