Editorial Advisory Group (EAG) for OTnews
OTnews is our monthly membership magazine and we want to ensure it continues to be relevant to members, reflects their scope of practice and diversity and is in line with RCOT’s priorities. That is why we are creating a brand new Editorial Advisory Group and are looking for five members to volunteer to be part of it.
We are looking for one volunteer member representative from each of the four countries (Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England) and a volunteer member representation for expert by experience for equality, diversity and inclusion.
The group, which we are running as a 12-month pilot, will meet wholly virtually, four times a year. As part of the group, volunteers will help advise and inform the editorial context and continuous development of the magazine, ensuring that it is in line with RCOT’s priorities, and relevant to members, reflecting their scope of practice and diversity.
It will be an advisory, not a decision-making group, with the main purpose to:
- help inform the editorial policy, magazine remit and its aims and scope
- inform context and future direction of the magazine
- identify topics for special/themed issues and commissions
- identify experts for comment/informed views
- help to get high-quality submissions, and
- help maintain quality standards.
For more information, please see our terms of reference (below).
Applications are now closed for the OTnews Editorial Advisory Group.
Thank you to everyone who applied for the OTnews EAG. Your application will be reviewed by volunteers from our existing RCOT boards.
We hope to come back to you on your application in July 2021.
