The Challenge
Jane had become overwhelmed by her hoarding behaviour and was living in her lounge as her bedroom was now too cluttered. Her mood was low and she was spending her weekends isolated in her room, in bed struggling to cope.
The Change
Jane completed a Canadian Occupational Performance Measure and identified achievable goals to begin clearing surfaces initially in her lounge so she could use her sofa instead of spending so much time in and on her bed.
The Impact
Jane cleared out 17 year old correspondence and slowly parted with items. Her lounge area became a place of relaxation and somewhere for the first time in years the family could gather. On evaluation all Jane's satisfcation levels had increased.
