The Challenge
Due to COVID-19 as a staff group we were no longer permitted to use our own vehicles for the purpose of home assessments in discharge planning. As a team we were also considering sustainability within the our hospital and profession.
The Change
We have now began using leased electric vehicles for the purpose of home and community assessments.
The Impact
The impact on the environment is important. Staff now able to consider alternative transport to work including cycling. occupational therapists have reported this impacting on their physical health and well being.
