DLF part of Shaw Trust is the UK charity which for over fifty years has been providing impartial information, advice and training about aids, adaptations and technology for older and disabled people and the professions that support them.
Free services for the public include the Living Made Easy online marketplace that includes AskSARA the rapid-access self-assessment tool and You’re Able the online forum along with the Helpline on 0300 999 0004 available five days a week.
Programmes for professionals include a wide range of equipment-related training courses provided both online and at venues across the UK including the level five Home Adaptations for Professionals courses. For professionals involved in assessing and prescribing there is DLF ProAssist the innovative new portal that provides evidence, clinical observations, a choice of reporting outputs and access to over 10,000 live products from over 950 retailers searchable by functional need along with an archive of over 40,000. DLF also runs the annual Moving & Handling People conference and exhibition and a range of related courses year-round.
