New to OT in CYPF?
Occupational therapists support children, young people and their families to participate in the occupations that they want to do, need to do and are expected to do, at home and in school. This includes occupations across the domains of leisure (e.g. sports, gaming and rest), self-care (e.g. dressing, washing and toileting) and productivity (e.g. writing, school attendance and work experience). As occupational therapists, we have a professional responsibility to use evidence-based approaches to support children, young people and families towards their occupation-focused goals.
If you’re a student member, newly-qualified or new to working with children, young people and families, we wanted to share some resources with you to start your journey with CYPF.
