Over the past six months, we have been working with our community volunteers to re-imagine our current community model.
These are questions we have already been asking volunteers in our current regional and Specialist Section communities.
Our communities connect and lift up every occupational therapist – supporting them to be the best they can be throughout their entire career!
Now we need your input with the opportunity to join a workshop – if we started again from scratch, ask yourself:
- What does a vibrant community look like?
- How would you plug into this community?
- What does it feel like to be part of this community?
Start shaping our vision for communities – complete the expression of interest form – tell us a bit about yourself and the team will be in touch shortly.
I would say that the majority of the inspirational things, the things that really get me to think, are those communities that I've met online and those communities that I've met through engaging in RCOT events. – Rachel Booth-Gardiner, RCOT Northern and Yorkshire region committee

Now we want to hear from you
Now we’ve consulted with volunteers in our current communities – whether you’re currently a member of one of our Specialist Sections, engaged at a regional level, or haven't yet found a community that represents you – we want to hear from you!
All voices are needed in this discussion as we head towards a community model where all members feel they belong. We are particularly interested in receiving responses from those from a frequently marginalised background.
