Rehabilitation is fast becoming the new priority in dealing with the impact of this pandemic.
People recovering from COVID-19, especially those recovering from intensive care treatment, will have emotional and mental health needs as well as the obvious physical ones. In addition, there are many people who have existing rehabilitation needs who haven’t been able to access their normal services, and people who may require rehabilitation in future, but have yet to be diagnosed.
We want to work with our members across the UK to identify best practice, understand the challenges and how best to shine a light on the need for rehabilitation with government departments, NHS and social care managers and commissioners, as well as the wider public. That’s why we launched the ‘Big Rehab Conversation’ - a series of one hour virtual sessions held over Zoom every other Thursday evening.
