RCOT Boards
RCOT Boards provide a forum for members to influence and inform RCOT’s work. Boards have an advisory and strategic role, and we use Board members’ expertise to inform our thinking on different workstreams and to sound out ideas.
We have five Boards with specific remits:
- RCOT Board Learning and Development
- RCOT Board Research and Development
- RCOT Board England
- RCOT Board Scotland
- RCOT Board Wales
- RCOT Board Northern Ireland*
*The RCOT Board Northern Ireland is not currently in place. We’re setting up a Northern Ireland Policy and Public Affairs working group to work with members on our activities for a year’s pilot. We shared the details on how to get involved with all Northern Ireland members at the beginning of September. Here are the details on how to apply.
Board membership
Board membership is a great way to contribute to the future occupational therapy. If you enjoy debate, can think strategically, and want to make a difference, consider becoming a board member. It’s also an amazing opportunity to be involved in the professional community of occupational therapy at a national level.
Observing the RCOT Boards
RCOT Board meetings are open to all RCOT members to observe. By observing a board members learn about RCOT’s work and how the Board influences this. For more information, including Board meeting dates, please click on the relevant Board above and contact the Board administrator.
