Research title: Occupational Therapists' Perceptions on the Use of Integrative Restoration (iRest) as a Stress Management Tool for Patients on the Waiting List for Occupational Therapy: A Qualitative Study
Hello, my name is Antonio “Tony” Chew, and I am studying for MSc Occupational Therapy (pre-registration) in the School of Health and Life Sciences at Teesside University. As part of my course, I am undertaking a research project and would like to invite you to participate. Before you decide if you want to, please read the following information and discuss it with others if you wish. Please contact Tony if you are willing to participate.
What is the purpose of the study?
This study aims to explore iRest Yoga Nidra as a mindfulness-based intervention for mental health occupational therapists for stress management for patients on the waiting list by introducing it as an occupation, part of their daily lives. Insights from registered occupational therapists are used to determine the protocol's relevance, potential, manageability, and application in its current structure. A secondary aim is to explore themes that may show how iRest Yoga Nidra can serve as a complementary healthcare tool or if further adaptations need to be explored.
